Thermax temperature strip selector
The tool picks the strip on which your temperature sits closest to the middle of the scale – so you can see the margin below and above.
Thermax selector
Choose the temperature strip for your process
Enter the alarm temperature or the operating range – we will point to the Thermax model and alternative variants.
Enter a temperature above or click a quick pick – we will show the recommended Thermax strip with a photo.
How does the temperature strip selection algorithm work?
Why the middle of the scale?
A strip with thresholds below and above the alarm temperature shows how close to the limit the process ran, not just whether it was exceeded.
Accuracy
Each threshold changes colour permanently once the temperature is exceeded. The tolerance of every variant is listed on the product page.
Wide operating range
When one strip does not cover the whole range, the selector proposes two strips applied side by side.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose a Thermax temperature strip?
Enter the alarm temperature or the operating range of the process. The selector picks the strip on which that temperature sits closest to the middle of the scale and shows two alternative variants.
What if one strip does not cover the whole range?
The selector proposes a set of two strips – lower and upper – which together cover the entire temperature range you entered.
Does a Thermax strip return to its original colour after cooling?
No. Thermax fields change colour irreversibly after the threshold is exceeded, so the strip records the highest temperature that occurred.
When should I choose a single-point indicator?
When you monitor only one temperature threshold. The selector then suggests the nearest available threshold of a single-point indicator.
